Not an easy feat as the Detroit bike maker has an eye for aesthetics and their U.S. fabrication is of the highest order. Add to this, their bike designer Sky Yeager who is a bit of a living legend in the industry, having designed bikes for the likes of Bianchi, Swobo, and others. All of this called for a ride of the highest caliber, ending with a brunch at a scenic local. . . so that is exactly what we put together.
From the shop we headed up Market Street, and made our way to the Panhandle via the Wiggle. A pleasant roll into Golden Gate Park, passing the Conservatory of Flowers we headed north out of the park and along the stretch of Arquello spanning the Inner Richmond.
ÂWe climbed into the Presidio, and then dropped down into Crissy Field where we met up with the brunch planning committee. The pictures can tell the tail of the rest of our gorgeous hangout session.
We were lucky enough to be joined by two of the hottest bike fashion bloggers around. Melissa of Bike Pretty and Susie of Velojoy. Thanks for coming along ladies. It’s always a pleasure.
Big thanks to Shinola for working with us on this ride. . . and for making some of the world’s most beautiful and well crafted bikes right here in U.S.A.
