We're happy to announce our newest line of bikes and this one's a real Huckleberry.
Shinola is a Detroit-based company dedicated to producing American-made products, including watches, leather goods, journals, shoe polish, and of course bicycles. They pride themselves on the return of American manufacturing.
Shinola bikes come with a deep pedigree. They’re designed and spec’d by Sky Yaeger, whose resume includes Swobo, Spot, and Bianchi, where she conceived the Milano townie and iconic Pista track frame. She has paved the way for women’s cycling and a force for good in the bicycle industry.
Sky Yaeger visits us to talk about Shinola, building bikes and her career in the bike industry.
The frames are hand-made by Richard Schwinn’s Waterford Precision Cycles, 4th generation of the iconic Schwinn Bicycles family. Sky and Waterford have teamed up with Shinola to breathe life back into the American Industry one bicycle at a time.
Shinola Bicycles deliver a classic blend of urban style and practicality. The Detroit workshop delivers a meticulous design, impeccable reliability and responsive ride to yield the best characteristics of a lugged steel frame and fork.
