March 23, 2016
Saturday - July 2nd - 9:00am
2424 Telegraph Avenue Berkeley CA
Berkeley and Oakland are often in the shadows of their more famous next door neighbor, San Francisco. Yet, with a fairly short 30ish mile ride, one can see some amazing sites.
On the Huckleberry East Bay Bikes & Pics Ride, we'll be taking our bikes and cameras up into
The East Bay Hills,
Lake Merritt,
Downtown Oakland,
Jack London Square,
Emeryville,
The Aquatic Park,
UC Berkeley Campus and finally
ending at Huckleberry Bicycles Berkeley.
When we're done, you will send in your best 3 shots to Huckleberry bikes. We'll do a slideshow, pick our favorite images and hand out some prizes!
The East Bay Bikes & Pics ride will be led by local cyclist and photographer Erik Mathy. With a background in photojournalism and an obsession with photography, Erik's work has been featured in Bikepackersmagazine.com, Element.ly, and theradavist.com. He's bikepacked along the Tour Divide, the Lost Coast of California, the Oregon Outback and the Kokopelli Trail. He is currently working on Brian's Ride, a cancer fundraising solo cycling/photography trip down the length of Route 66 in memory of his cousin Brian Brendemihl, who passed away in August of 2015.RSVP photo@huckleberrybicycles
